Sunday is the arrival day, when you arrive at your own time and check-in in one of the carefully selected Host Families in Malaga. In the late afternoon you will meet up with all of us at the meeting point for the presentation of the program and the staff. Then we will have a Welcome Dinner all together at a typical ‘Chringuito’ (sea-front restaurant) at Pedregalejo beach.
Day 2 Monday
It’s time to discover Malaga! Today you will have your first Spanish lessons and we will visit the beautiful historic city center of Malaga. Today we will also meet Juanito, who will give you an amazing tour across his ecological orange tree farm and you will learn and discover many incredible “miracles” he is able to make by “playing” with nature. In this beautiful scenery, under the shadow of the orange trees we will have the other half of today´s Spanish classes.
Day 3 Tuesday
Today we will leave for Ronda. On the way we will visit the fascinating ruins of the castle of Gaucín and its beautiful views, we will go hiking an enchanting trail called the “Ruta de los Viajeros Romanticos” and we will stop the first white village of our tour. In the afternoon we reach our accommodation, which is an ecological ´Finca´ (cottage) located in a beautiful natural environment a few steps from the wonderful village of Ronda, where you will have the Spanish classes of the day and then get ready for a tasty Barbecue on the Finca´s area!
Day 4 Wednesday
Let’s live the nature! You will spend time at the Finca´s lands and will learn to make your own goat cheese and of course have more Spanish lessons in this beautiful environment. In the afternoon we will visit a unique pueblo blanco (white village) of Andalusia where the charming white houses seem to emerge from the rocks and some have rock roofs and even olive groves on their roofs.
Day 6 Friday
It’s time to leave towards the white villages of the province of Cadiz. We will visit a beautiful old mill that still works and learn to prepare your own bread. After classes in our accommodation in one of the white villages, we will visit another stunning white village, where every corner has an incredible story due to Moorish influences that we will find all over Andalusia during our trip.
Day 7 Saturday
It’s time for Beach, Nature, Sport and Relax!!! Today we will go to a pine tree forest with breathtaking cliffs on the Atlantic Sea, walk one of the trails leading to the cliffs and we´ll have a nice pic-nic and relax in the shade of the pine trees. In this beautiful beach area you can choose any of the Optional Activities available for our group, such as among others Horse Riding, Mountain Biking, Yoga, Kite-surfing etc.
Day 8 Sunday
After morning classes in our accommodation we will depart for Jerez de la Frontera. Here we will do a short walking tour around the beautiful Alcazar and the cathedral, before we will visit the one of most famous and oldest wine cellars of Spain. At the end of the visit you will taste some of the best Sherries together with a tasty tapas lunch at the cellar. In the early afternoon we will leave for the fascinating city of Seville, the capital of Andalusia, where after Spanish classes you will get immersed in what is the most passionate side of Andalusia: Flamenco!
Day 9 Monday
Let’s go biking! After an abundant breakfast at the hotel we will go on a bike-tour to see the best of Seville, such as the Plaza de España, Real Alcazar and the cathedral. In the afternoon we will depart to the village of Antequera, where you will take the Spanish classes of the day at our beautiful hotel, where we will stay for the next couple of nights.
Day 10 Tuesday
Today we will visit the majestic Natural Park “El Torcal”, where vegetation and unusual limestone rock formations create a unique and mystic atmosphere. This nature reserve´s 17 square km are some of the most beautiful and impressive limestone landscapes in Europe. The whole area was under sea until one hundred million years ago. After the Spanish classes we will also visit the village of Antequera.
Day 11 Wednesday
Get your eyes prepared! It’s the Alhambra day! In Granada we will visit the city’s most beautiful places, feel its magic atmosphere and watch its enchanting views, before we visit one of the most beautiful monuments of the world: the Alhambra, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site and according to some the 8th Wonder of the World.
Day 12 Thursday
The Alpujarras, a natural and historical region on the south slopes of the Sierra Nevada and its adjacent valley is our next destination, where we will go on a lovely hiking trail and then, after the Spanish classes of the day, we will visit an authentic ham cellar in the village Trevelez, where they will explain the process from the farm to the bodega and of course they will let us try the ham! Spain is famous for its hams and this is one of the villages where the hams are dried and cured, due to it´s climatological characteristics.
Day 13 Friday
Today we will visit the picturesque village of Frigiliana and the magnificent cave of Nerja, a natural cave of an extraordinary beauty, discovered a few decades ago after being kept hidden for centuries. In the afternoon we will drive right to our final destination: Malaga, where we will celebrate the Certificate Ceremony and Good-bye dinner party!
